Women’s healthcare doesn’t stand still, and neither do we. To better support our patients, Women’s Medical Associates of Nashville has grown our team to include board-certified, Nurse Practitioners (NPs). You may see one at your next visit, and we want you to feel comfortable knowing exactly what that means for you.
Nurse Practitioners are highly trained medical professionals with advanced education and specialized training in women’s health. In our office, they play a key role in caring for patients through every stage of life. Whether you’re coming in for your first annual exam, managing birth control, or navigating menopause, our NPs provide expert, compassionate care with your whole health in mind.
While our NPs do not deliver babies, they are fully qualified to handle routine and preventive gynecologic services. This includes well-woman exams, screenings, contraception counseling, menopause management, and addressing common gynecologic concerns. When more complex care or deliveries are needed, our OBGYN physicians work closely with our NPs as a collaborative team, so you always have the right level of care!
Our Nurse Practitioners take time to listen, answer questions, and truly get to know you, not just your symptoms. And because they aren’t called away for deliveries, appointments often run on schedule, meaning less waiting and more time focused on you.
It’s completely normal to feel unsure about seeing a Nurse Practitioner instead of a physician at first. Many patients are pleasantly surprised by how supported and confident they feel after their visit. Our NPs bring a warm, patient-centered approach paired with deep clinical knowledge that helps every visit feel reassuring and empowering.
At Women’s Medical Associates of Nashville, taking care of you is what matters most. Whether you see a physician or a Nurse Practitioner, you can trust you’re in capable, caring hands every step of the way.
